week 25 Roldan

Hola mi Familia amado :)

I`m glad to hear that all of you are doing so good! :) Me too haha Gracias por todos sus cartas!! tengo un sonrisa ahora :)

My week passed very fasted... it`s crazy how fast the time flies here in argentina...

this week we went on splits with our zone leaders on friday haha Elder Garcia from Brazil and Elder Yañez from Chile! they`re great haha I went to a different area in Rosario for the day and a half to recieve training and to work for the day with Elder Garcia the brazilero. The week like I said went by sper fast! it feels fast when one is working :) We had alot of good lessons this week with investigadores, and I got to meet a bunch of miembros de la area.

Like I said the other week, we don`t have the chapel in our town, but we have a few members por suerte jaja One thing that I am really excited about is having members that want to help us when we visit our investigadores!!! In my other area it was really dificult to work with the members outside of the church on sundays. but now no :) This past week we had 4 lessons with a member present, it makes a huge difference when we have members with us. There is a different spirit:)

This week went fast but was kind of hectic haha to say the least... and a little bit of stress, but the experiences that we are having help make up for it!!

This week we recieved notices that my companion needed to go home to buenos aires to vote haha because it`s elections here in argentina. And in Argentina it`s mandatory to vote... it`s different to say the least... If you don`t vote, and then later want to leave the country or do any kind of paper work with the government, you can`t do it, until you pay a huge fine... it`s kind of a mess. Because no one wants to vote, but no one wants to pay the fine either haha. and so this past week end we went to rosario to the mission home and spent the night there. In the morning my companion Elder Gutierrez left for buenos aires with a few other missionaries and I got a new companion for the day haha his name is Elder Almendras (Almonds in english) haha he is from my group in the CCM we hadn`t seen each other in like 7 months haha and so it was a joyful reunion! and even better because we got to be comps for a day. We wen`t back to Roldan which is like an hour in bus from Rosario.

We left sunday morning at like 6:30 more or less to catch the bus to Roldan, to be on time for church haha It was my first sunday in roldan and I didn`t have my real companion haha The branch that we are apart of meets in the chapel/House, when we got there, there wasn`t anyone there. but before the meeting was about to start we had like 100 people in this house haha more than the ward in Arroyito...

I got asked to speak for like 10 min more or less, and it went well. I spoke about mission work and the importance of the members in helping us bring this work to pass.
After church we had ward council, and I had no idea about our investigators and my companion less than me haha We had our form of progression with their names but I only knew like 2 of them... We planned abunch of activities which was super good because there wasn`t activities in Arroyito either... But With time...

We had lunch with a family that is starting to reactivate, and they fed us Empanadas!!!!! The best kind of food that there is haha
After lunch we had a short lesson with them. They have a son who is 10 and isn`t baptized...... We put a date for his baptism haha me and Elder Almendras, and before this lesson we`d never talked to them... anyways we are going to have va baptism 18 de noviembre :) And the father is going to prepare to baptize his son!!

The eighteenth of november is also our open chapel for the public! So we are going to open the doors for the public and have a program for them to come and learn, and then after be our investigators!!! :) And to help these visitors feel the spirit even more... We are going to baptize this boy who is 10 se llama Lucas in front of all of them, and his familiy and the branch!!! It`s going to be great!!!!

This past week we had another experience really spiritual while we were contacting in the street.

We clapped outside of this door, and a man came out and he looked super mad...
He asked what we wanted, and what we were doing clapping at his door...
I was a little taken back because it wasn`t really late at night or the hour of the siesta when everyone is sleeping... And so I asked him why he was sooo grumpy... (Nicely) haha He told me that he didn`t want anything to do with religion, and that it had never helped in his life, and that he was mad at god, and that he didn`t believe in anything... We kept asking him questions about his life and why he didn`t believe in anything.... He told us that it wasn`t important that we knew, but we were persistent, and kept asking... He told us that it was because when he was 9 his mom died and left him alone with his other siblings, and the oldest was 15, and the youngest 7. And the only food that they had to eat was the garbage cans outside the restaurants and kiosks... He kepts asking us that if there was a God then, why does he let things like this happen... We tried to explain to him the plan of salvation but didn`t want to know anything or to listen... I told him that one day He would believe, and I said that he had faith, but that he wasn`t using his faith and acting, and because of this he couldn`t believe or didn`t want to believe in god...

We felt the prompting to ask him if we could help him with anything, and he told us "no!! You can`t help me with anything..." He told us that he needed to go back into his house to rest because his legs and back hurt... he was a man of like 48 years more or less.  We both felt the prompting like a huge gust of wind to offer him a blessing. haha It worked, he let us into his house, we gave him a blessing, and he calmed down and listened to us, as we taught about where his mother was in this moment and time. he calmed right down, it was amazing the spirit that we felt. And I saw the spirit working in this man, while we were in his home. like wow, Anyone could`ve felt spirit, it was like feeling the wind, but a really warm wind!!! I had a fire burning in my chest!! And I saw it in the eyes of this man tyhat he felt the spirit, and for this reason had calmed down, and wasn`t saying anything.. He promised us to read the pamphlet of the plan of salvation, and to pray to ask god if it was true. he said that he was going to do it that night!
We told that according to his faith in God and Jesus Christ that he could recieve healing and strength, and recieve an answer about the lesson that we had with him!

I felt the spirit immensly!! It`s amazing the satisfaction that comes from following spiritual promptings, and testifying with power and conviction!

Like you said in your letter dad, To be on the Lords errand and to acomplish and do what the Lords needs us to do! It`s amazing!!

I love this Gospel! It`s soooo true!!
Jesucristo es nuestro salvador y redentor y nos salvo si usamos el sacrificio expiatorio de el.

Les amo muchísimo Mi Familia!!!! :)

Tengan un semana magnifico!!
