Week 77

Hey Fam! Thanks for all the letters!! I love hearing about how everyone's doing :)
I sent some fotos and videos of us playing hockey in the church haha with brooms and dusters... it was pretty fun haha it was raining outside and hailing and so we had to find something else to do haha

My p-day has changed to thursday... but I will keep writing you all monday because we have two different days now... monday is a administrative day (Write the family, district meeting, weekly planning) and then Thursday is P-DAY ( day of rest, haircut, grocery shopping, and futbol sports etc.) Both days we start at 8, and end at 4 so as to be able to work and take advantage of the whole day anyways! So we are all super excited about these changes to be more efficient as missionaries.

This week there was a lot of rain... as you could see from the pictures the colour of the sky was crazy... it was like all blue and then a icy green streak running down the middle of it... the taxi driver saw it and said " oh no... it's gonna hail" he drove us the church super fast and went to take shelter haha we were safe in the church playing hockey.

This week we have 10 people who are listening to our message regularly and are thinking about baptism, we have to help some of them drop addictions, others need to get married to be able to be baptized, and others need to go to church haha but they are all reading and praying to know if it is true and if it is something that will bless their lives. We are focusing on one couple specifically named Alexis and Julieta. They are a young couple of 30 years more or less and are really interested in learning and are super excited to go to church next week. We were able to visit them with a member, and it went super well.

The best part is that Alexis and his Wife/partner haha have given us like 4 referrals all the family haha we went by and alexis was like "hey, today in the morning one of my friends ask me about you guys, and she wants to listen to you" We were like sweet when? and he said right now, and so we went over and talked to her taught her the first lesson and she wants us to come back and then we left and saw alexis outside of his house, and he said "come here" and said " This is my mom, I want you to meet her and to teach her too" and so we walked out of an appointment and into another one haha it was very efficient. His mom had a lot of questions about the plan of salvation and all the churches and their beliefs which is such a common concern here. There are sooo many churches and religions that no one knows where to go or who to trust. We are very careful to invite people to listen to us, and not talk bad about other religions but sometimes I can't help but point out flaws in doctrine and in ethics... (evangelistas that just rob their congregation... 30% tithing etc...)  but I am always respectful and invite them to pray to know for themselves. Thanks everyone for your advice about the JW's :)

We are happy here in pergamino, Yesterday in church I gave a surprise talk on love, mothers, and our need to love on another. It turned out well, and lots of members said that they needed to hear it... Mom you might receive a letter from one of the mothers in my ward... she wanted to email you haha the family Carrasco is their name. they have a son serving in brazil.

Elder C, and me are getting along just great and we are learning together! He's great, soo humble and funny. We are becoming great friends.
That's all for this week! :)

The church is true the book is blue... :)

God Lives and Our Savior Jesus Christ is at the head of his church today in the world.

I love you guys so much and am praying for your success. Keep going strong!!

Love,

Elder Hubbard
