Week 40 photos!

Hola mi querido familia :) 

This week went by so fast haha I think it's because I stopped writing in my journal because of the lack of time to sit down and write what happened during the day... The work is moving and advancing so quickly!!! it makes me excited but at the same time it puts alot of responsability on us at the same time as missionaries and as members of the only true church on earth! 

This week as a district we made a goal to find and teach 100 new people so that they became investigators, and we saw miracles as a district... It was incredible! To put it into perspective haha The last 3 weeks as a district we found exactly 100 people new to teach :) which was alot of people! But we decided that we needed to up the game alittle bit and be an example for the mission, and so we made the goal on tuesday to start finding people like crazy and to see miracles happen, and they did!!! Me we have 5 companionships in the district, and one of those is the asistents to the president, who are amazing missionaries haha I know that's what people think about the asisatents but with these guys it's true :) They found and taught 43 people in 5 days, and we found 21 haha which is still more than I have ever found in one week in my whole mission, usually we average like 5-7 in one week, so we really stepped up our game, and saw miracles as a district! We are the youngest district in the mission and we ended the week having found and taught 97 new people!!!!! We were so close!!! :( And then we realized that if me and elder fields woul've found 4 more to hit our goal, we also would've hit our goal as a district, it really was a testimony that any group is really only as strong as their leader, and as a leader we didn't meet our goal, so it seemed fitting that we were the ultimate factor... but we are still super excited,, aboiut what we accomplished, and we know that there is still soooo much work to be done and that we can't let up :) Our goal to find this next week is 40, and we are already at 12 :) So we are excited to work with everyone and to help the district start baptizing!!!  We really did see soo many miracles in our week, and soo many to tell, but I wanted to share a few breifly :) 

We recieved a referal yesterday from a member at church, and it was for a family that lived close to some of our other investigadores that we had apointments with and so we planned to contact her :) We got our apointments and no one was there, and so we knew it was because God wanted us to contact and find this family :) 

We started walking to knock on the door, (because she didn't have a fence around her house....weird) and before we could knock the door opened, and a middle aged woman was standing there, and she asked us what we wanted, and we said that we were called of god to be here in this moment to share a message that would change her life. She said she had to leave somewhere, but we were persistent, and told her we would only take 5 minutes, and reluctantly she let us in haha (That's a missionary trick... Say you are going to stay for 5 minutes and then...) She told us that she belonged to another church and that she wasn't too interested in our message, but it didn't bother us :) We had the spirit, and thanks to having the spirit we were able to discern her needs at the that time! It's amazing the testimony that I have about the spirit telling us the needs of the people :)

  We have been counciled to have conversations with the spirit during the lessons, and I felt that going on when we were there. I kept feeling to ask lots of questions, and about the family and she told us that her dad died in october, and that she got seperated from her husband around the same time, and it has been a really tough time for her... and her two sons who were present for the lesson, they were all crying when they said their grandpa died... the two boys are 8 and 12 haha and loved soccer just like two other boys I know ;) Anyways I felt inspired to ask the question "Would you guys like to know where your father and grandfather are right now?" 

And the mom started crying and told us that that was the only thing she wanted to know... So we said "Ok... Can we say a prayer and then tell you?" She felt the spirit super strong already and so we said the prayer and then taught the plan of salvation focusing specifically in the spirit world and the resureccion! It was exactly what she needed to hear and feel :) She didn't stop crying the whole time, and I felt the spirit say "Elder Hubbard all this is true, and you will also get to see your loved ones again, and that it'll all be okay", and before I knew the words came out of my mouth in spanish and she thanked us, and said that she would pray and ask God if it was true, but she said that she felt something inside her, and so we explained how the spirit worked, and then she said the closing prayer, and we both felt the spirit really strong!! She then asked us when we were going to come by again :) Our favorite question!!! We are going back this tuesday and we are going to get her baptized in 3 weeks if it be the will of Heavenly Father :) 

It was an amzing miracle for me and elder Fields to experience!! 

our other investigators are also doing super well!! we have 3 with a baptismal date and are waiting for a family to get married before we can baptize them!!! But other then that I am doing great ann am loving the mission, and everything that comes with it :) joy, sorrow, unsurety, repentence, gifts of the spirit, and the opportunity to be a disciple of christ 24/7!!!
