Week 26 Roldan, Argentina

Hola y buenas días familia mio :)

Este semana pasado fue muy bueno y estamos teniendo muchas experiencias muy buenas con muchas personas :)

All of your letters were really good to read and to find all of you in good health and spirits! I apologize that my english is weird to read, but the language of castellano has really taken hold of my brain haha The translation of castellano to english is not even close haha but anyways I apologize if it`s weird to read... Because it`s really weird to write in english right now.

Fa! We are at the end of october already and la Navidad is right around the corner haha!!! But we are all in summer down here argentina... well... we are in spring haha but it feels like summer.... It`s sooooo hot and humid, but it`s all good too!!
More people are listening to us and we are finding really good investigadores. Investigators that are interested in learning and progressing are hard to find sometimes here. But with the help of the spirit it`s more than possible!

We are teaching a less active family that has been coming back to church se llama la familia Cisterna. They have a son who is 10, and isn`t baptized, and so we are going to baptize him in 3 weeks :) And we also have a few others that have a date planned out for their baptisms.

Theres is a lot of work to do here in Roldan! sometimes it`s alittle over whelming, because our area is huge! But it`s good to be kepot busy, but it`s better to listen to the spirit and find people who really are prepared to listen and come to their savior!
In preach my gospel it says that missionaries who are always occupied , doesn`t mean that they are successful missionaries necesarily. But that those who search for choice souls in the kingdom of God Will be led by the spirit, Our agendas that we use to plan our days, aren`t to be uses only as a calender but to use as a spiritual tool, to search and find the sheep that have been lost, but are prepared to be found :)

As mission right now. We are focusing on constructing a house of order in all that we do. Our apartments, our personal lives, our paperwork, in all aspects. We are talking alot about goals, and how if we don`t have goals we can`t achieve the vision to be servants who follow and do the will of their father in heaven. We need to establish order in all that we do, to be organized to feel the spirit, I know that that is true in the mission, but also in our home!! Mom, I thought about you when we recieved this training, and how we always talked about cleaning in our house and organization, but sometimes we struggled to understand the importance of it!! I know and understand it now haha I`m sorry that when I was younger and at home that I didn`t always help establish a house of order...

But now we are being directed to get our lives together haha

We had a cool experience the other day while clapping doors haha
This old lady waved us over to her house while we were walking and asked us if we were from God? We said "yes! And that we are here help all of his children return to live with him one day." We then asked if she was baptized? She told us yes, but that she wants to be baptized again!!!! we asked her why? She told us that it was a beautiful experience but that she wanted to do it again...haha we asked if we could enter the house to share something with her and her HUSBAND!!! This was a tender mercy for us... To find someone who is MARRIED and INTERESTED... what a tender mercy... it`s a miracle haha No one here is married...

anyways we entered in the house and taught the first lesson about joseph smith and the restoration of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. They told us that they would pray and ask god if they should baptized the 25 of november. They said that if god answers that they both will be baptized:) It was the first time that they had talked to missionaries life us. We asked them how old they were and they said 73 and 85... I was shocked because they were walking around like they were 60 haha and they were very energetic and didn`t look their age. So I guess when they recieve their answer, we are going to baptize a man that is 85!! Wow!
There is no age to old to accept the gospel of Jesus Christ!!

I recently found out the that the oldest convert this year in our mission was 94... wow that`s impressive haha
But anyways, god works in mysterious ways, and his own time that isn`t our time!

on Saturday we were in the church in Funes to practice one time our song for sacrament meeting the next day haha we all forgot that we had to prepare something and so we threw something together reall quick!! It turned out pretty good all things considered :) We practised " A Child`s Prayer" But in spanish! " Oracion de un Niño" We decided to sing the first and second verse in spanish and then do the round in english, because 5 out of 6 missionaries speak english... Elder Gutierrez didn`t know the words in inglesh and so we practised for an hour in the noche and in one hour he had all the words memorized!! Pretty impressive! He`s great :)

On sunday we sang in the sacrament meeting, and everyone liked it, as far as I could tell haha And then after church we recieved a message from the branch president saying that if we were going to do a musical another time that it had to be all in spanish... haha to me it didn`t seem like that big of a deal, because everyone felt the spirit, but what do I know haha Anyways You guys should look up the song on LDS.org in spanish :) IT`s perfect!!

In the next couple weeks we are going to have a zone conference and interviews with president! This is a tender mercy for me, because I`ll get to see my trainer two more times before he goes home!! haha crazy how fast the time flies down here in argentina... The next couple months, and it`s Christmas!!!!!!!! It`s the most wonderful time of the year!!!!!!!! have you guy`s been listening to christmas music yet?? haha I`m sure if you aren`t it`ll start soon haha

As far as a package goes... haha I have pretty much everything I need.. Thanks to you guys!! But There are a few foods that I have really been missing... En primer lugar... Raspberry jam and a peach pie....  :( I know this is a pretty tall order haha so don`t worry about it, but maybe tobasco sauce Is more realistic :) More Canadian Pins!! Like 10 or so...
