Week 14 Rosario

We had to cook one day this week, and it wasn`t very good... haha

the other night we had a crazy moon....and

...while I was taking pictures this giant German Sheppard was on the roof with me haha he didn`t want to play... I was lucky to leave the roof alive... nothing happened, but it was close haha

Hola Buen Dia Mi Familia :) les quiero mucho!! Este es la iglesia verdadera,y jesuchristo es nuestro salvador y redentor :) La expiacion de el es la uniquo camino en cual salvacion y redempcion es posible.

This week was a good one, We had 2 investigators in the capilla, and we had a really good testimony meeting yesterday :)
We are working with three families towards the bautimal fecha de 26 de Agosto :) Super exciting!!
We had a meeting with our ward mission lider on Thursday, and we had 30 min to get to the chapel, but we were more or less 40 min walk away haha, and so we decided to visit another person and then take a taxi or bus to the meeting... Well, we both received the prompting to visit a family that is inactive as of right now, and haven't been in the church for 9 years mas o menos.

Anyway we got there, and we were going to try and set up an appointment nothing more, but we were invited in for a little while haha. We didn`t want to be rude and say that we had to leave in like 5 minutes but everything turned out well... We said that we had a meeting right now, but that we felt that we should stop by their house and visit them. We sat down, and asked the daughter who`s name is E............ if she read the part that we had left with her to read in the libro de Mormon, and she had! We were excited because she and 3 of her other siblings aren`t members, and need to be baptized still. There are 6 siblings, and only 2 were baptized when they were active. They live there with their mom, and grandma, and I don`t know where the dad is... but here in Argentina this is very common unfortunately.

Anyway she read the part in 3 nefi about baptism and how no unclean thing can enter into the kingdom of god, and she had highlighted a few parts, super cool!  long story short... We looked at each other, and then asked her when she wanted to be baptized haha and she said that she wasn`t sure when, but that she wanted to!! We set the date for the 26th, all she needs to do now is finsh the lessons and come to church twice before then :) Yo tengo fe!!

This was a highlight of the week :)

The rest of the week was a bit of a struggle contacting people... because of something that happened in another ward in another city but close to Rosario... Every House that we clapped at, said that we needed to leave their yard, and that they didn`t want anything to do with the Mormones... We couldn`t figure out what had happened with all these people, and we came to this one house, we clapped, and waited... a lady and her family ( who were Members... We found out)  came out the house and started yelling at us, and they told us that we were going to burn in hell jaja I wasn`t very happy... It took everything inside me and help from God to not call hellfire and damnation on them in this moment. I guess what happened was a bishop in another ward in Argentina had been arrested but was a bishop at the time he was arrested, without anyone knowing. We had no Idea this had happened, and so we were very bewildered for lack of a better word, as to why everyone was yelling at us... But anyway, in this moment I stood tall next to Elder França as this family wanted to scream at us about this thing that happened. We bore our testimonies about how God will one day judge everyone, and that the Church was true, but that sometimes the people ( Who are Human) make mistakes. After this we bid them a very good night and walked away. It put a kind of bitter taste in my mouth, but I was amazed by how calm I became in the middle of them yelling at us, I felt the spirit calming me and filling me with the love of the Savior for these mislead individuals, the Lady... The mother I`m assuming told us how she wasted 14 years in the Mormon Church and that she would never go back haha She told me how she and her family were better than the mormons, and that she raised 5 boys that could've gone on missions... At this Point I looked around at her family who each had a cigarette in their mouth, and a pitcher of wine in the middle of them, and i said to each of them, Entonces K Paso? (Then What happened?) I told them to look around at what they were doing now... She said that something offended her family in the church 4 years ago and this was the reason that they didn`t go to church anymore. I said something like this:  how they needed to stop living in the past and worry about their appropriate salvation in the futuro. I told them if they stayed in this road of life, they couldn`t be saved without repentance, and the gospel of Jesus Christ, They were getting more angry and told me to go to hell, and so I told them Dios le ama y Dios les bendiga ( God loves you, and god bless you) And then we left and went back to our house ( Apartment) Because this thing happened with the bishop it is going to be hard to contact people now, because it`s all over the news... but

"the work of the lord will go forth Boldly, nobly, and independent, till the purposes of God shall be accomplished and the Great Jehovah shall say, the work is done"

It was a great experience haha, I am learning to love these people through experiences like this, It`s an amazing thing to feel the Savior`s love for other people, even if they want to damn you. To have this worry or concern about other people`s salvation is something that I`ve never felt before the Mission. It`s amazing the peace of mind that comes from having the Spirit with you, and the Promise in Doctrine and Covenants "To have the words in the moment that you need them"

I truly love this Gospel, and these experiences that I`ve had so far on the mission I wouldn`t change for anything! I`m learning so much and truly feel the lord in my life and in the lives of others! This is his Work and it is going to be done in his way :) I`m grateful to be apart of it everyday especially in Argentina Rosario :)

Love always X O X O
